Mark Bittman : The Minimalist : Braised Squid with Artichokes

This week I’m doing a little tribute to the cooking of Mark Bittman. His article The Minimalist is everything that I love about food and cooking. His recipes require simple whole foods, few ingredients, and easy preparation. It’s practical delicious cooking. I chose a couple recipes from out of his 25 favorite recipes that he’s done over the years and will be sharing some paintings over the next few days in his honor.

I love Bittman. I’ve swooned over the Tofu Chocolate mousse, the black cod with miso is a must and have experimented with the no knead bread.
Your squid is gorgeous. I can’t wait until you get to a blue crab recipe.
Keep making no-knead bread and thinking what a great run the Minimalist has been. Keep on, Bittman!!!!
